Synopsis

The elevator shuddered to a halt, plunging Charles into sudden darkness. A woman, her face turned towards him, stiffened slightly. He realized she was blind. The silence stretched, thick and expectant, broken only by the faint hum of the building's machinery. They were stranded, suspended between floors, the mundane reality of their predicament suddenly amplified in the close confines of the small space.
