Synopsis

Increased consumption of tobacco and alcohol has diminished the liver’s former strength. It is evident that the liver cells are unhealthy; they report an excessive accumulation of fat within the organ, leading to a decline in its functions. While Red Blood Cell AA2153 is troubled by this state, other red blood cells implore him to assist in oxygen transport due to their dwindling numbers. Unable to find respite, the red blood cells resolve to deliver oxygen to a deep vein starved of it.
