Synopsis

The chemotherapy is weakening Connie, yet her resolve to reach America for Christmas with Grace remains unshaken. But a sudden staff shortage draws her into the emergency department, summoned unexpectedly by Hanssen, and her struggle through the shift jeopardizes not only her festive plans but also her health. Elsewhere, Sally Hodge (guest star Pam St Clement), adrift in loneliness, returns to the hospital and finds an unlikely accomplice amidst the ward's inhabitants.
