Synopsis

Connie’s illness is taking a toll on her work; even as she stubbornly resists Charlie’s offers of assistance, her continued presence in the emergency department exposes her to increasing risk. Elsewhere, Ethan arrives late for his practical consultancy exam, and the arrival of Polly, the new coffee shop worker, promises a brightening of Max’s romantic prospects, only to be dashed by an awkward blunder during an attempt at flirtation.
