Synopsis

The Christmas tree thief, in a desperate act, severed his own thumb, and the farmer who pursued him sustained an injury to his leg. The thief’s prospects for his digit were grim, highlighting the importance of proper care for a lost limb. A plastic surgeon proposed a replacement using the patient's big toe. It transpired that the tree thief was the brother-in-law of the injured farmer, and their predicament stemmed from a fifteen-year-old family dispute. Jack found himself compelled to silence a
