Synopsis

The death of an emergency room physician in broad daylight quickly draws Castle and Beckett into a case far more complicated than it initially appears. They soon learn the victim served as a doctor for a Mafia family, headed by a man who was once a friend of Castle's. Meanwhile, set against the backdrop of the Christmas season, Esposito and Lanie find themselves at a pivotal juncture in their relationship.
