Synopsis

The scheduled lecture was delayed an hour, allowing Kogoro to ascertain the true perpetrator. While everyone present, save for Reizei, possessed a verifiable alibi, leaving Inspector Megure and Kogoro with no apparent suspects, the unsettling truth remained: a murder had occurred at the event hall where Kogoro was to speak. He accused the former hall manager, Reizei, of murdering actor Inokoshi Kenichiro, yet Reizei confessed only to the killing of event hall owner Hishida Junko.
