Synopsis

Conan and the Detective Boys retraced the man’s steps, discovering the head wound was no recent injury. Their search led them to the rear of Beika Hospital. As a man fleeing a police officer stumbled into the Detective Boys' path, he took Ayumi hostage before collapsing. They discovered a severe wound on the back of his head and rushed him to Beika Hospital. He possessed no identification, only a fragment of magazine paper. This prompted the police to suspect an attack and offer protection.
