Synopsis

The three watched the final moments of the film, a faded starlet, Misuzu Shirakawa, in her own home. They had toured the house with her – Misuzu, her children, and a maid – and found an unsettling atmosphere of constant discord. Misuzu herself seemed to be the source of much of the household’s unhappiness. As afternoon deepened, she retired to her bedroom for a nap. Moments later, a car accident echoed from outside, followed by the ominous rise of smoke from within her room.
