Synopsis

The body of Hiroko Inoue, a hostess, was discovered in her home by Osamu Kitzuka, a colleague of Inoue and soon-to-be husband Akira Taokaoka. Kitzuka had arranged to meet with Taokaoka that day, and it was this planned visit that led him to the grim scene. As Kogoro and Conan begin their investigation, the police initially determine the death to be the result of a random burglary, a conclusion supported by Taokaoka’s confirmed presence in Fukushima Prefecture at the time of Inoue's death.
