Synopsis

Daijirou Manaka, an artist battling obscurity, narrowly escapes death when an I beam crashes down upon him. As he lies recovering in the hospital, Takagi and the Detective Boys examine his belongings: a driver's license, a length of rope, a pair of gloves, and a handwritten note. Upon regaining consciousness, Daijirou is questioned about the contents of his bag, but he feigns memory loss. Conan, however, observes a subtle deception in his response.
