Synopsis

A sugary haze hung in the air, thick with the scent of buttercream and vanilla. Women at tables nearby chatted and laughed, indulging in the decadent spread before them – an all-you-can-eat cake buffet. Then, without warning, a ripple of stillness spread through the room. One by one, women at a table just beyond the main area began to crumple, their laughter abruptly silenced.
