Synopsis

The reprimand hung in the air, but Morofushi's gaze drifted to a missing person report. A young girl, vanished the night before. His friends noticed his unusual interest. "Why the focus on that girl?" they asked. He offered a vague explanation, claiming a resemblance to a childhood playmate, and clammed up. Persistent questioning loosened his tongue, and he began to speak of things long buried – the horrors he had witnessed as a child, the murders that haunted his past.
