Synopsis

Laura, trembling with rising panic, struggled to calm herself, the memory of Carmilla’s bite still sharp on her skin. It had all happened so quickly: Will's sudden departure, Carmilla’s blow to his face, and the horrifying revelation of his true nature – all within a breathless span of moments. Now, as Carmilla returned from pursuing Will, poised to flee from The Dean, her mother figure, Laura wondered if she could persuade her to remain.
