Synopsis

A series of unsettling signs accumulated, yet did little to diminish Anthony’s cheerful disposition. A fox hunt was arranged as a formal welcome for Candy into the Ardley family. The pair retreated from the assembled company, and just as Anthony prepared to disclose the identity of Candy’s betrothed, his horse became entangled in a snare, throwing him violently to the ground and fracturing his neck.
