Synopsis

Dissatisfied with Candy’s conduct, the Legrands relocate her to the stables. However, the arrival of Sister Maria and John necessitates a carefully maintained facade, a prospect Elisa strongly opposes. Yet, the visitors discern the reality of Candy’s situation, and Sister Maria offers words of counsel. As a gesture of recompense for her hardship, Anthony promises Candy a rose of particular beauty for her birthday.
