Synopsis

The Brightons staged a barbecue at the orphanage, a thinly veiled attempt to petition for Candy's adoption. But Candy, fiercely loyal to Annie, made it clear she wished to remain with her. Her resistance forced the Brightons to reconsider, leading them to seek Annie's consent for the adoption instead, which she readily granted.
