Synopsis

The book signing dissolved into a tense confrontation when Hank found himself at odds with the film director, a man clearly displeased with the adaptation of his novel. Later that day, an unexpected encounter with a woman from a disastrous blind date dredged up old animosity; Hank’s words had stung, and the memory lingered. Meanwhile, a student named Mia plotted a quiet theft, intending to incorporate excerpts from Hank's work into her high school creative writing assignment.
