Synopsis

Upon the arrival of an abandoned infant, Cagney and Lucy embark on a scheme involving the child's placement. The baby is deaf, and Mary Beth harbors a desire to adopt it, adding a third child to her family—a storyline established prior to Tyne Daly’s pregnancy. Meanwhile, in a secondary narrative, Cagney is romantically involved with a striking playwright, though he holds little respect for her artistic pursuits.
