Synopsis

The monks of Shrewsbury journeyed into Wales, intent on retrieving the relics of Saint Winifred. However, their efforts to secure passage through bribes quickly stirred resentment among the Welsh people – and when a local landowner was discovered slain, suspicion immediately fell upon the monastic party.
