I wouldn’t consider myself particularly religious. My dislike of what some might call anti-Christian portrayals comes down to the fact that those depictions feel like a predictable trend now. However, when this kind of thing appears in programming for children, it shifts from being an irritating cliché into something genuinely disturbing and manipulative. That's quite unsettling, really. Setting that aside, though, what we have here is just sad. *Salute Your Shorts*, the show from years ago, wasn’t a masterpiece, but at least it had memorable characters and real humor—so much so that even my cynical parents occasionally laughed along with it. *BUNK'D* never achieved that level of quality. It always felt…off, kind of unpleasant. It seemed to assume children are incapable of understanding anything complex, which is rarely a recipe for good television; treating your viewers like they’re not very bright just doesn’t work. That’s what it was—a poorly made show aimed at kids. Then they began incorporating "woke" elements, and suddenly it became something offensive, a program seemingly designed for privileged white women to watch while intoxicated early in the morning with their children, while their husbands are working. So, it transformed from being simply a bad show into an insulting one, and I say that as someone who finds fault with people easily offended by everything. When I’m watching something and thinking, "Wow, they're really pushing harmful stereotypes here," you know there’s a problem.
