Synopsis

Laurel persists in her inquiry into the death of the respected Dr. Daudier, as a creeping infestation takes hold of Washington, D.C.'s population. Rochelle Daudier, the doctor's daughter, and Gustav Triplette, an unconventional genius, both encounter the strange insects independently and find themselves grappling with a growing unease about the nature of the unfolding events.
