Synopsis

The judge decreed that itinerant horse breeder Jim Acton’s cherished mare belonged to rancher Sam Whipple. Jim attempted to repurchase her, but Whipple rejected his offer, leading swiftly to a confrontation where Jim killed Whipple in self-defense. The Cartwrights desired to ensure Jim received a fair trial, yet an ambitious and overly zealous deputy seemed unconcerned with the methods he employed to bring him into custody.
