Synopsis

Joe encountered Calamity Jane, and finding himself bound by a promise to care for her made to her dying father, brought her back to the Cartwright ranch. The other Cartwright brothers initially assumed "Cal" was a young man, a misunderstanding quickly corrected. As Cal began to develop feelings for Joe, his affections proved unwelcome; matters were further complicated when Cal's partner, Doc Holliday, held a particular animosity toward Joe.
