Synopsis

Clay Stafford joined the Cartwrights’ employ, and soon after found himself involved in a deadly altercation; he shot and killed a man who publicly accused him of cheating at cards. Though the miners cautioned Clay to depart town, it seemed his actions were justified as self-defense. To Little Joe's astonishment, Clay revealed that he was his half-brother, naming Marie as their shared mother. Ben listened patiently to this extraordinary tale and accepted it without question, but Adam and Hoss fel
