Synopsis

The Cartwrights built a grist mill, intending it as a means of support for a rancher burdened by disability and consumed by bitterness toward Ben, believing him responsible for his misfortune. Ben now faced not only the man’s resentment but also the unsettling presence of his caretaker, a man of questionable character, while finding himself drawn to the rancher's wife. "Sons can't be everything," he told her quietly.
