Synopsis

The banker in Virginia City, blinded by prejudice, refused Ben’s suggestion of a recent widower – a man with an infant daughter now under his care – for the position of bank teller. His reason was simple: the applicant was a little person. This former circus performer, driven to desperation and seeking to provide for his young daughter, resorted to stealing from the very institution that had denied him opportunity.
