Synopsis

A memory takes us back to the Ponderosa, where the famed prospector makes his arrival and joins in the very beginnings of Virginia City. A curious connection exists: Jack Carson, a guest star in this installment, also appeared as a bank teller at the Comstock Bank and Trust in the 1942 film "Gentleman Jim." This early and beloved episode represents the second to be filmed.
