Synopsis

While tracking bighorn sheep, Hoss and Joe discover a pregnant Native American woman, and find themselves unexpectedly tasked with assisting in her labor. Though moments of wry amusement punctuate the narrative—including one instance where Joe dismissively calls a meal "cattle fodder"—the story ultimately avoids a wholly cheerful resolution.
