Driven by Linda’s insistent plea – a request she framed with a touch of maternal authority – the Belchers made a habit of attending neighborhood open houses, drawn by the promise of complimentary refreshments. During one such gathering, Linda encountered a personable real estate agent and secured a private tour of a property. It was there, amidst the house's rooms, that the children discovered an unforeseen circumstance, and the family found themselves unexpectedly entangled in a real estate ven
