It’s widely acknowledged that Bluey is a fantastic television program. However, it seems some of the original Australian language and comedic elements have been softened, presumably to appeal more broadly to American viewers—viewers who, I believe, are capable of understanding phrases like "capsicum salad." This book series, though, has failed to capture my children’s interest; both my 9-year-old and my 4-year-old actively rejected it, preferring to do other things instead. They commented that the narrators' delivery was odd, and according to my youngest, they appeared unfamiliar with the Bluey stories themselves, which she finds hard to believe considering how well-known the Heelers are. Ultimately, this collection doesn’t come close to satisfying the demand for more content, failing to entertain either my kids or me, despite featuring celebrities from the 1980s.
