It’s too early to say whether this season will ultimately be satisfying or if the story will hold up, but I was taken aback by the moments of levity in what's otherwise a grim and tense show. I first picked up on it in the premiere episode, though it wasn’t significant enough for me to actively seek out more. But in the second episode, perhaps because I was rested or maybe the comedic elements were simply stronger—a mostly understated and wry kind of humor—it really stood out. I like watching shows and movies from various countries, and one of my favorite things is seeing how different cultures express their sense of humor.
