The potential for something good was there with Black Knight, but ultimately it’s held back by "the message." There were appealing sets, an engaging history to the world, and reasonably well-developed characters; however, as is so often the case, overt messaging about female strength and male weakness became a central element. I made it through one episode and part of another before giving up. The attempt to convey "the message" unfortunately causes the narrative itself to decline, becoming overshadowed by repetitive and irritating moralizing. Ultimately, what seemed like a worthwhile concept was undermined by progressive ideology, as has happened so many times before.
