Tertius pondered Rian's search for Annelize, while Elana voiced her discontent to anyone who would listen about Julia. Helena began a series of probing questions concerning Elana and Conrad's connection, and a growing unease settled over the others; more than one person sensed that something was amiss with Annelize.
