Synopsis

The final request of Merle’s proved a considerable surprise to some, while Susanna spoke with Van about Cherilee. Zieg attempted, with great earnestness, to offer support in a project, and a compliment directed at a nurse provoked a sharp reaction from a doctor. Getrude harbored a deep resentment toward Zadie, and Van’s automobile was stolen.
