Synopsis

Detective Martin Beck, along with Gunvald Larsson and Alice Levander, are called upon to unravel the perplexing murder of an accountant discovered shot dead in the airport parking lot. Simultaneously, a reporter receives a cryptic package from an unknown source, containing details of misappropriated funds intended for the repair of nuclear reactors. Upon contacting Beck regarding this information, the detective's home is destroyed in a bombing.
