It takes some getting used to seeing Linda Hamilton in a part that isn't focused on action; I personally found it jarring at first, though she manages to do a commendable job. Ron Perlman is also excellent, and he’s someone who hasn’t received the recognition his talent deserves. The series took a sharp turn when Hamilton departed, and the narrative quickly declined into something poorly executed. While the initial episodes were quite good, the show deteriorated rapidly, becoming difficult to watch before long.
