Synopsis

During a Predacon assault, an ancient stone circle, inexplicably radiating unusual levels of energon, is awakened. The activation draws the attention of an extraterrestrial probe. As the Maximals investigate the phenomenon, Optimus Prime is suddenly disintegrated. His demise throws the team into disarray, sparking a bitter dispute over leadership while the Predacons consolidate their forces for a renewed offensive.
