My fondness for Transformers stems from Beast Wars and Beast Machines; I really feel like I came of age alongside that franchise. A significant reason why the series resonates is the quality of the voice acting – the performers are truly excellent in their respective parts. The development of Dinobot, transitioning from antagonist to antihero and ultimately a heroic figure who makes the ultimate sacrifice, stands out as remarkable storytelling across all media. It's possible my perspective is colored by nostalgia, but Beast Wars remains one of those childhood shows I can still appreciate now that I’m older. Tekkaman Blade comes up in discussions about cartoons from my youth because it was another favorite at the time; however, unlike Beast Wars, I couldn’t even finish the premiere episode as an adult—the writing felt so artificial and unpleasant to experience. I've attempted to watch other Transformers animated shows, including the original movie, but they all seem inferior compared to Beast Wars and Beast Machines; they just aren’t good. Transformers: War for Cybertron – Kingdom (2021) was a disservice to this series. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) was also a disservice to this series. I'm ready to confront whoever assigned this a single star.
