This isn’t a revival of Scooby-Doo, that much is certain. The characters aren’t who you remember; Fred isn't really Fred, Velma doesn't resemble her former self, Shaggy and Scooby have lost their characteristic timidity and huge appetites, and Daphne is unrecognizable. There's a distinct lack of genuine mysteries as well. It comes across as just another cartoon featuring kids who are simply having a good time, encountering no significant danger or experiencing anything truly frightening—the entire series is disappointing. The animation quality is shockingly low; it makes the work of Hanna-Barbara seem like a masterpiece by Michelangelo. These alterations are precisely why I dislike remakes and reboots so much. It seems someone intentionally set out to create something called "Scooby-Doo" that bears no resemblance to the original.
