Synopsis

The Proms will feature a compelling pairing: the dynamic collaboration of Klaus Mäkelä, one of the world's most promising young conductors, and the renowned Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. They will perform Mahler’s expansive and deeply moving symphony, including its celebrated Adagietto, alongside Berio’s *Rendering*, an ingenious composition inspired by Schubert. The concert is presented by Alison Balsom.
