The Chineke! Orchestra makes its fourth appearance at the Proms, continuing its celebration of diversity among both composers and musicians. Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a Black British composer, presents an overture drawn from his celebrated cantata, which tells the story of a Native American leader and features a quotation from the spiritual "Nobody knows the trouble I've seen."
