Synopsis

Katie Derham introduces the opening night of the world’s premier live classical music festival, a program rich with works ranging from Beethoven’s Third Symphony to Aaron Copland’s *Quiet City*, alongside a new composition by the promising young British composer Hannah Kendall. The BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers perform, conducted by Sakari Oramo. Join Katie and special guest Stephen Fry as they mark the welcome return of live music to the Royal Albert Hall.
