Synopsis

The 2017 BBC Proms season concludes with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by their Finnish chief conductor Sakari Oramo, performing live from London’s Royal Albert Hall. Soprano Nina Stemme features in a selection of pieces from Wagner's *Tristan und Isolde*. The BBC Symphony Chorus and BBC Singers celebrate a century of Finnish independence with a performance of Sibelius’s iconic *Finlandia*, while Lucy Crowe (soprano), Christine Rice (mezzo), Ben Johnson (tenor), and John Relyea (bass)
