Synopsis

A major event in this year's Proms, Sir Simon Rattle leads the Royal Albert Hall in a performance of Schoenberg’s monumental *Gurrelieder*. The London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus join forces with the CBSO Chorus, the Orfeo Catala, and a distinguished cast of soloists – Eva-Maria Westbroek, Simon O'Neill, and Thomas Quasthoff – to present this epic tale of love. Conceived with a Wagnerian scope, the work culminates in a breathtaking depiction of dawn.
