Katie Derham presents the first of six weekly broadcasts commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Proms, showcasing selections from the archive's most cherished performances. Joining Katie is conductor Mirga Gražinyte-Tyla, who celebrates Beethoven’s 250th year with a revisiting of her acclaimed 2017 Proms appearance with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The concert features a strikingly new interpretation of Beethoven’s celebrated Fifth Symphony, alongside his Leonore Overture No
