Synopsis

As part of a season commemorating the five hundredth anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, John Butt leads the Dunedin Consort in a complete rendition of Bach’s St John Passion. Nicolas Mulroy embodies the Evangelist, while Matthew Brook portrays Jesus. True to its original liturgical context, the performance incorporates congregational singing from the Proms audience.
