Synopsis

Valery Gergiev leads the Munich Philharmonic in a program featuring three beloved works: Ravel's mesmerizing *Boléro*, the exquisite suite from Richard Strauss's *Der Rosenkavalier*, and Rachmaninov's romantic Third Piano Concerto, showcasing the exceptional young pianist Behzod Abduraimov. The program also includes Galina Ustvolskaya's powerful Third Symphony, *Jesus Messiah, Save Us!*, with text performed tonight by Alexei Petrenko. The concert is presented by Katie Derham.
