Synopsis

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss's birth, the Proms feature a double presentation of his two monumental tragedies. Over two nights, the fates of Salome and Elektra converge in a series of devastating conclusions at the Royal Albert Hall. For Salome, Donald Runnicles brings the forces of the Deutsche Oper to the Proms. Leading the cast as the tormented princess is acclaimed soprano Nina Stemme.
