Synopsis

Over a span of six years, Mahler crafted a symphony that grapples with the fundamental questions of human existence. The work explores the themes of birth, death, and the ephemeral moments in between, culminating in a profoundly moving choral finale. Daniel Harding conducts the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by soloists Kate Royal and Christianne Stotijn.
